What are you most excited about that’s happening in the industry today?

There are more canvases to play with today than ever, and that’s mostly a good thing. You’re also finally seeing more creative companies explore and invest in more than just advertising, which is also a good thing.

And if you could change one thing about the industry, what would it be?

It might seem odd for a creative to say this, but I think until we flip the value equation and change the way we’re paid, it’ll be hard for the industry to retain creative integrity. We have to place more value on our thinking.

What is your favourite ad of all time and why?

You know, this is a pretty common question, so you’d think I’d be more prepared for it. Truth is, I don’t know. There’s so many things I love and respect. Forced to pick, I’ll say Sony ‘Balls’. I know it’s quite obvious, especially having worked at fallon during that time, but I’ll never forget how it made me feel the first time I saw it. It's art, as communication and still gives me goosebumps when I watch it today.
